Something’s on my mind

T’other day at work, a lady wanted for a latte and wanted to know if the milk was skimmed. I wasn’t sure so asked another waitress in front of the lady and she said it was to which the lady replied “Oh good, I can have that”

So I casually stroll over to the coffee machine and make my latte and take it to the table. All was brillo

Until I looked in the fridge around an hour later (long after the table had left) and saw that the milk was in fact semi-skimmed not skimmed. I hadn’t seen as I’d just used the milk from the jug we use to heat it up (they are super stingy about wasting milk, grim).

So now I’m wondering what the lady meant by “I can have that” - is she allergic? Or is it just a dieting thing? The latter I do not care about. But what if the lady was allergic and I made her ill? What if she came back and complained?

Others may see this as a trivial matter but I feel v guilty. I hope I haven’t caused her any misery, sozaloz random customer.
